Winter Wonderland

So, winter is almost over (thank god). Not sure where the time has gone, but I think I misplaced a couple weeks somewhere along the line.

Christmas was kind of a non event this year. Although, I did get participate in some traditional Christmas activities!! I got to decorate a tree with the family, but it was a "new year" tree. They asked if it was odd for me to be decorating a tree with a muslim family and I said I didn't really care as long as I got to decorate a tree!

I got to make Christmas cookies. Victoria came over one day and we put on christmas music and made sugar cookies. It was a beautiful thing! Plus, we got to use such traditional shapes as a dinosaur, bat, and, of course, the christmas lobster. And we carried out the most important cookie tradition of all...eating the cookie dough til we were sick.

Martha Stewart...eat your heart out!!

I spent Christmas Eve with friends, watching Elf and drinking wine. And then on Christmas day I flew back to Tignes with the family. Not the best way to spend Christmas day, but I'm sure there are much worse ways to spend it. The upside of this was that I got the spend my birthday and New Year's Eve in France.

My birthday party, complete with ice-cream cake!!
